Local children can get in on the Winter Olympics celebrations at iceSheffield.
The venue is hosting special Winter Olympic themed School Holiday Clubs during February half term, which coincides with the start of the Olympics in Vancouver.
The holiday clubs, for children aged between 8 and 13 years old, offer a week-long session with fully trained staff, allowing kids to try a range of activities in a safe and secure environment.
In the Winter Olympic themed club, kids will be able to try curling, ice hockey, figure skating and speed skating.
Matthew Parker, assistant operations manager at iceSheffield, said: “School holidays can often be a difficult time for parents in terms of negotiating child care, so they can rest assured that their children are in a safe environment whilst having fun.
“The Winter Olympic special this February half term will give the kids a chance to take part in a selection of sports which they may not have otherwise had the chance to try. Some of the sports, including curling and speed skating, also allow them to learn valuable lessons about team work and cooperation.
“The holiday kids clubs are a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to spend time with others of the same age, whilst taking part in various fun-packed activities throughout the week.”
The Winter Olympic special School Holiday Club takes place between 15 and 19 February. Book Now
