Sheffield skaters achieved seven medals at the International Judging System (IJS) skating competition, to secure top spot for the city.
The IJS at iceSheffield is a National Ice Skating Association Competition which is used as a competitive testing event for qualification to the British Figure Skating Championships.
Twelve local skaters took part in categories including novice, junior, senior and dance, achieving the best results from a single ice rink in the competition overall.
Katie Powell brought home the top medal for Sheffield winning gold in the Junior Ladies category and has also been selected to compete in the ISU Junior Grand Prix taking place later this month.
Rachel Barley achieved the bronze medal in the same category, whilst Sophie Kent came 23rd overall in the category, out of 38 skaters.
Bethany Powell, sister of the top medalist Katie Powell, also made the podium bringing home the bronze medal in the Novice Ladies category, whilst Emily Hayward achieved seventh place in the same category out of the 48 skaters that took part.
British Champion Peter J Hallam, who last year became the first iceSheffield skater to progress through the Skate UK programme to win an international medal, competed in the Junior Men’s category winning bronze. He has also been shortlisted for the ISU Junior Grand Prix at iceSheffield.
After a two year break from skating, Jason Thompson brought home the silver medal in the Senior Men’s category, while Lee Booker won silver in the Novice Men’s.
The competition also included a dance category which featured two couples from Sheffield. Stephen Moore and Olivia Betts-Dawson danced away to win the silver medal, whilst Ryan Sharp and Charlotte Dyson narrowly missed out on the bronze medal finishing in fourth place.

The next competition at iceSheffield will be the ISU Junior Grand Prix 2010/11 event, between 29 September and the 2 October.
